You just downloaded VIGOR and you're not sure where to start. This guide has you covered. From creating your account to logging your first set, tracking your 1RM, and exploring athlete programs — we walk you through every core feature of VIGOR. Setup takes under 5 minutes.
Step by Step: Getting Started with VIGOR
Download the App
Search VIGOR on the App Store or Google Play and download it for free. The app is available on both iOS and Android.
Create Your Account
When you open the app you'll see the sign-up screen. Register in seconds with email and password or with your Google / Apple account. No credit card required — core features are completely free.
Set Up Your Profile
Enter your height, weight, and fitness level. VIGOR uses this information to personalize program suggestions and progress calculations. You can update it at any time.
Choose a Program or Build Your Own
You have two options: a) Browse the athlete and coach programs section, pick one you like, and start immediately. b) Build your own split: define your training days and add exercises to each one. Push/pull/legs, upper/lower, full body — any structure is supported.
Start Your First Workout and Log Sets
On the workout screen, select an exercise, set the number of sets, then enter weight and reps for each set and mark it complete. Your numbers from the previous session appear on screen as a reference — so you always know what you need to beat.
Explore 1RM Tracking
Every time you log a set, VIGOR automatically calculates your estimated 1-Rep Max (1RM) from that data and saves it. Go to any movement's page — squat, bench press, deadlift — to see your 1RM history charted over time.
Browse Athlete Programs
One of VIGOR's standout features: training programs from well-known athletes and coaches are available directly in the app. Browse them, add any program to your account, and customize it however you like.
Track Your Progress Over Time
As weeks and months pass, your data builds up. Strength graphs update automatically, and your full workout history is always accessible. You can clearly see when you made gains and when you hit a plateau.
When Should You Go Premium?
The free plan gives you full set logging, 1RM tracking, and progress graphs. If that covers your needs, there's no reason to upgrade. The premium plan adds an expanded athlete program library and advanced analytics for those who want more.
